Love that you mentioned VMK. I have often wordened how VMK would have held up over the past two years had they not closed it.I have played ALL of the other Disney MMORPG's and none of them have held my interest for long. Least of which was Club Penguin. Where was the Disney magic in that game anyway?

Alright time to school you, I've plyaed Forsaken World, it's terrible, the animation quality, the graphics, the gameplay it's all terrible. I have not plyaed Vindictus as it's not available outside of Europe and NA. And Lineage 2 shows its age for todays standards, I mean damn that game is old. And lastly, I do not play this piece of shit game either, I play P2P games because I have a job and income. At the moment it's ToR and next it'll be Guild Wars 2, stfu.

You tell me if I know PWI: I have 60+ chars I play on 9 servers. I have pleyad just about daily since closed beta. Thats approx 3,5 years i have been playing (not actual gametime). I have also pleyad several years on other MMOs: WoW, Guild Wars, Shaiya, Scarlet Legacy and RuneScape. Been guild leader for years. And read about MMOs about same (or more than a game journalist). PWI is best atm, thats why after 2 year free play, I spent total 7k USD on PWI and prob will spend more.

I completely agree about the uafinr fates of the low-level content creators. It's a sad state of affairs when a customer service rep, earning $30k a year, can get promoted to designer positions and find that they have to take a pay cut! They also get treated as disposable resources, when it comes time to lay people off: we can always hire some more out of the QA pool! There are so many people who want to design games that the actual earning potential of new designers is very low. I'm not sure what to do about that, but I guess I've wandered off topic anyway, so I'll stop now. :)

I tried playing Age of Conan but it kept sanyig my DirectX was out of date. So I updated it and it kept sanyig the same thing. Prehaps its a bug? hope it gets fixed

Perhaps I was too broad I was trying to eaetrtnin as well as inform, and sometimes shades of gray are lost.It seems to me, based on my own experiences and those of my comrades on other developing MMOs and their live teams (you're quite right to draw a distinction between the designers and the people who cope with the fallout), that management decisions are often not in tune with the realities of the customer base but the management class is the one that is protected in the event of disaster. It frustrates me to see the 30K/year guy take the brunt of the pain in terms of relocation, job changes, and blame.I also prefer directness. For anyone to say Here are the reasons for closing a studio failure to XYZ. Oh, but I don't mean THESE guys is the worst kind of nonsense and entirely prevalent within some corporate cultures. Either the speaker does indeed mean these guys or he's referring to a different studio entirely, and either way, his statement reflects poorly on him.
